The “Out of the box” side table/box: At once a box, side-table and storage remedy, this piece takes inspiration from the humble cardboard box, now upgraded and presented as a transparent cube installation of four boxes. Having always been on the move and lived back and forth between four countries, boxes have had a regular presence in Alameen’s life. Functional, but with time the contents of said box can easily be forgotten, until now - given new life by putting their contents on display in an accessible and aesthetically pleasing new context.
