The Iconic Lebanese Khayzaran Chair was recreated in stainless steel and presented in 5 editions. In his first object Samer Alameen uses an historical archetypal shape, the Khayzaran Chair that is disappearing from all traditional places -you used to be able to find them everywhere, restaurants, schools, coffee shops, people's kitchens, on the street - are nowadays being replaced by a cheap plastic version. Through the use of new materials and techniques, Alameen gave the Khayzaran Chair a new meaning, combining the past and the present, while highlighting the preciousness of this Iconic piece.
